La Tortuga

I am currently enjoying my third week here in Mexico. I am extremely thankful and blessed to have such a loving family. This weekend we went to check out El Geiser in Hidalgo, it was amazing all of the pools where heated and the vapor from the volcano was epic, even though since it contained sulfur it stank like egg lol.
We then headed over to La Tortuga in Queretaro which was more of a spiritual experience. We first had massages and then we had a session in el temazcal, which is like a spiritual steam room. The temazcal was intense, it was a 2hour session with 4 tiny breaks in between, at one point I had to lay down because I was about to pass out from all the heat. It was such an emotional experience holding space for others and letting go of all the toxic things from all lives. xoxo

Sporty Vibe

Even though I usually don´t wear sneakers I have grown a liking to these from H&M. They are super comfortable and make any look appear more effortless. Since I am currently in Mexico visiting my family I am all for a comfortable shoe for the cobble stone streets. Having an outfit that is versatile is also very important so I can go from day to night with just a change of shoes and lipstick.

Florario

With the temperatures quickly rising it is time to bust out all our summer pieces. I have recently developed an obsession for rompers. They are an instant outfit, you just throw it on and then figure out what accessories you feel compliment it. I feel like rompers are very forgiving and extremely flattering on most body types. The only thing I find annoying is using the bathroom when wearing one and having to take the whole darn thing off!

p.s. I don't recommend buying these boots from Milanoo as they are very poor quality for the price I paid! If you do buy from the site make sure the shoes you like have plenty of reviews, as they tend only to publish only positive reviews...

Cotton Cool

Now that it is getting warmer outside I prefer to wear more breathable fabrics that won't cling or are constrictive on my body. Cotton is definitely one of my go to fabrics for spring and summer. Today I wore navy shorts with a floral print, I got these while I was in Europe last summer and I love how light and airy they are. I paired the shorts with a simple light blue button down and just threw on my white gladiator sandals. Who's ready for summer? :)

Sapphire Ripples

Definitely fell in love as soon as I laid my eyes on this top which I scored at my local thrift store. It is somewhat cropped which makes it easy to pair with any colored skirt or even high-waist shorts. It reminds me of those traditional table cloths every Mexican family owns. I decided to bring out the colors of the top with this royal blue skirt. The pleating on the skirts added more dimension and I threw on my Jeffrey Campbell lace up booties add a bit of grunginess to my ever-so girly ensemble.

Shamrock

Happy St. Patrick's day! Today I decided to go a little more casual with this turquoise/green top and some solid black pants. I dressed the look up a little by adding one of my favorite pair of heels. These heels I bought while I was in Barcelona last summer they are so chic and I love the beading!
Did you know that the shamrock which is a well known symbol of St. Patrick's day today was used by St. Patrick himself to educate others about the Holy Trinity back in the dayyy, since the clover has 3 leafs. Who got pinched today?

Off-Duty

I recently went on a spontaneous road trip to LA. Of course I had to visit one of my favorite beaches while there, Venice. I love the scenery, with the Santa Monica Pier just a few miles down you can see the Ferris wheel, the many palm trees, the street art sold along the boardwalk is always interesting and inspiring to look at. I wore this off-white tunic my mom gave me a few weeks ago it's so breezy and comfortable. I love the bell sleeves on the tunic as well as the embroidered details, it reminds me of a pilgrim haha. The scallop shorts I bought while here in LA and I appreciate the second layer peeking out to protect from any cheek exposure ;)xoxo[Top: Gifted     Shorts: Happiness]
