Crochet

I recently came back from vacation. I was in Bali just a few weeks ago and such an incredible time. It was so lush and green, the weather was very humid which meant little lizards would sometimes make it into your room. From the beautiful architecture of all the temples, to the kindhearted locals it was a memorable trip. We visited the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, which you could literally spend the whole day absolutely intrigued by all the monkeys running around. Little baby monkeys clinging onto their mothers, others busy eating yams and many grooming one another. There was also a building inside the sanctuary where we spotted a whole herd of little bats clinging to the ceiling just chilling. We also explored some of the beaches in Kuta, which is the southern part of Bali, Padang Padang definitely was one of our favorites. We also took an hour boat ride from the north east side of Bali to the Gili Islands. Once on the island there were no motor vehicles. You can explore the island by bicycle or horse, this made the islands much more relaxing. We also went exploring different waterfalls and rice fields. I bought this bathing suit set from one of the local vendors. I always love to buy clothing from places I travel too, anyone else guilty of this? Who else has been to Bali? What was your favorite place you visited there?xoxo,Guadalupe[Bathing Suit: Bali Local Vendor]

Viva

Las Vegas! There is something so exciting about the city that never sleeps. Endless opportunities to get into trouble or possibly win some mula ;) This night in particular was my first time trying out the slot machines. Outcome: lost my money. They say there is a thing called beginners luck, it's a lie. I met up with my friend and he took these photos of me. I wore a blazer style dress with some strappy black heels.

Cabernet

Deep plums, forest greens, burnt orange, all shades of gray, and of course black are some of the colors we associate with fall. I still can't believe it is already October, where has the time gone? I feel the older I get, the faster the years seem to come to an end.

Today I decided to pair what is actually a lace slip dress with this burgundy patent skirt. The colors complemented each other nicely. I added a cardigan to make the look more modest, and finished it off with a classic black bootie.

What colors do you tend to reach for during fall?

Denim

The weather has been a little strange as of lately. Some days are still warm, yet others you can tell autumn is near. Today was the perfect day to wear my new denim mini dress. I actually bought this dress at a Forever 21 in Hawaii and it reminded me of something you would see on a GUESS catalog. The way it fit, I was immediately sold. When my sister's schedule matches up with mine, we have little sister dates. For this date we went to Domaine Chandon and had a bottle of wine with a cheese plate, super delicious.
What do you like to do on your days off?

Gingham

When I first saw this dress it instantly reminded me of a picnic. The print screamed picnic and summer, and I loved it lol. The wrap style I simply adore. This style is very forgiving due to the extra fabric that drapes over and gives you a more defined hourglass shape. A simple dress, with just the right details. I wore this out to grab lunch with my sister :) What prints are you loving?

China Beach

Something about last minute spontaneous trips make my heart happy. I took my sister to China Beach in San Francisco to kick off the first day of summer. This beach is a little smaller and more secluded than most, but you still get the amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Surprisingly, it was a rather warm day in SF but of course not warm enough to go in the water haha (the water is always freezing!). We stayed until the sunset. Nothing better than a bottle of wine and soaking in the sound of the ocean.
Do you have any exciting summer plans? :)

Cinnamon

I recently came back from vacation about a week or so ago and I am loving how tan I am at the moment. I was traveling alone throughout South America for a little over 3 weeks. In that time I was able to visit Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. I had such an amazing time, and it was something I really needed (maybe I will do a blogpost about it on my other blog if it seems interesting for some cabinchronicle.blogspot).
I went out to catch up with a friend and my sister and I wore this stripped jumpsuit. Jumpsuits and rompers are definitely a must have for spring and summer. They are super lightweight and easy to just throw on. The wide leg on this jumpsuit made the whole look more casual and carefree. Are you guys excited for the spring and summer weather?
