Monochrome

I have really been enjoying monochromatic looks lately, it just looks effortlessly chic. I feel like the older I get the more I lean towards wearing neutral colors. I just turned 24 on Thursday :) Grey has never really been a color in my wardrobe so when a got these new pieces I was really excited to create this look. Luckily it is still rather warm here in Napa, so I was able to go out without a jacket and be relatively comfortable.
What do you think of the monochromatic trend?

Guadalupe

Dust Rose

Dressing up in the fall is always exciting since it is the perfect transition season with comfortable weather. I have really been enjoying wearing lighter fabrics while I still can before it starts getting colder. This romper I bought a while back when I went to Los Angeles to visit one of my girlfriends and I love print combination, it is so easy to just throw on and you can switch up the look with a different pair of shoes. [Romper: Boutique     Boots: Zara     Wallet: Ivanka Trump     Rings: ShopDixi.com     Bracelets: Macys]

Ivy

I have been on the hunt for a sweater dress for what seems ages now. Since I am 5'8 it has been quite a mission, nothing is ever long enough. Finally I was able to find one at my local Forever 21, who would have known. I feel like a sweater dress is a staple item for your fall wardrobe. It can easily be dressed up or be worn very casual, plus if you love to eat (like me) it is wonderful for hiding a food belly. Who's excited for fall?

Teal Petals

I often feel like I dress a bit grown for my age, but I have always been attracted to a more sophisticated look. Business chic is definitely a go-to look for me. You never know who you will run into and to look somewhat polished can never hurt ;)
I have recently become a fan of the cigarette style pant/trouser, very casual yet work appropriate. You can always dress your look down with a solid color vs. a print. What is your go-to look? :)

Paisley

So I had bought this romper at Forever 21 a few weeks back thinking it would be a perfect piece for my summer collection, only to realize it was listed as sleepwear on their website -__-. It all made sense, the fabric is very sheer so I was quite embarrassed I had worn it out in public but nowadays it is quite trendy to wear lingerie pieces out as long as they are paired appropriately. I layered my "sleeptime" romper with an oversized cardigan to keep the look more modest and just threw on my favorite pair of boots.

Comfy Chic

Some days you just want to throw on a graphic tee, a pair of jeans, some comfortable sneakers and call it a day. Sometimes that effortless look can actually make you look like you tried. I always stick to neutrals when I don't know what to wear and make one piece the highlight. In this case it was my new sunglasses which seemed to match perfectly with my sneakers :)
What is your go-to look on those lazy days?

Going Green

For the new year why not go green with fashion. What do I mean by this? Recycling fashion. As consumers we spend so much money on the newest trendiest items for our closet. I used to be guilty of that but my sister has recently inspired me to be more of a minimalist. Sure I have a long way to go but I am starting to only invest in classic pieces for my closet. I have really enjoyed thrifting and finding unique items, it it very cost friendly :)
How do you feel about green fashion?

Xoxo,
Guadalupe
