Bugged Out

I have recently grew a deep appreciation for over-sized sunglasses. They are perfect for those days you don't have time to do your makeup and they also make you look mysterious. I remember back when I was in high school one of my guy friends had made fun of my sunnies saying they looked like bug eyes, let me just say I have learned not to care about a man's opinion about what I wear.
Today I wore a simple color palette so my shoes would stand out. These shorts are super comfy and breezy [a little too breezy my cheek was almost exposed due to the windiness!] and I love my little heels I bought back in Paris :)

What style of sunnies are you loving right now??

xoxo,
Guadalupe

Tuxedo

This is my business casual attire I wore to run errands today. I would definitely opt for some skinny trousers if I was actually going to a meeting or had a interview. Since I just had a few things to take care of and it was superrr hot today I chose to wear this checkered romper. I feel like a blazer is another great essential for one's wardrobe. I would recommend trying on different styles of blazers to find the right silhouette for your body type and of course choosing a neutral color so it is easier to pair with other pieces in your closet. A great blazer can instantly upgrade any look from decent to très chic ;) xoxo,Guadalupe

Peach Glow

Any look can easily be made more casual by simply tying a jacket, sweater or button down around the waist. This came in really handy since when I put on this peach lace dress it appeared to have somewhat shrunk in the wash, so the extra length from my button down kept it modest. I threw on some sneakers and my new favorite cross-body bag which fits all my essentials.

I was super excited to walk around el centro and get to the city my mom grew up in. A few memories flashed back from when we used to live there when I was 4 years old. The parks we would play in the the temple we would walk to, I wish I could stay here longer. El Hospitalito, is the temple behind me. It was the temple my parents got married in, it was soooo small I can't imagine how my whole family fit in there to watch the ceremony, it was the first temple they built in Irapuato, Guanajuato. I am so blessed to have such a loving and caring family here in Guanajuato. I will definitely be back soon. xoxo

La Tortuga

I am currently enjoying my third week here in Mexico. I am extremely thankful and blessed to have such a loving family. This weekend we went to check out El Geiser in Hidalgo, it was amazing all of the pools where heated and the vapor from the volcano was epic, even though since it contained sulfur it stank like egg lol.
We then headed over to La Tortuga in Queretaro which was more of a spiritual experience. We first had massages and then we had a session in el temazcal, which is like a spiritual steam room. The temazcal was intense, it was a 2hour session with 4 tiny breaks in between, at one point I had to lay down because I was about to pass out from all the heat. It was such an emotional experience holding space for others and letting go of all the toxic things from all lives. xoxo

Sporty Vibe

Even though I usually don´t wear sneakers I have grown a liking to these from H&M. They are super comfortable and make any look appear more effortless. Since I am currently in Mexico visiting my family I am all for a comfortable shoe for the cobble stone streets. Having an outfit that is versatile is also very important so I can go from day to night with just a change of shoes and lipstick.

Florario

With the temperatures quickly rising it is time to bust out all our summer pieces. I have recently developed an obsession for rompers. They are an instant outfit, you just throw it on and then figure out what accessories you feel compliment it. I feel like rompers are very forgiving and extremely flattering on most body types. The only thing I find annoying is using the bathroom when wearing one and having to take the whole darn thing off!

p.s. I don't recommend buying these boots from Milanoo as they are very poor quality for the price I paid! If you do buy from the site make sure the shoes you like have plenty of reviews, as they tend only to publish only positive reviews...

Cotton Cool

Now that it is getting warmer outside I prefer to wear more breathable fabrics that won't cling or are constrictive on my body. Cotton is definitely one of my go to fabrics for spring and summer. Today I wore navy shorts with a floral print, I got these while I was in Europe last summer and I love how light and airy they are. I paired the shorts with a simple light blue button down and just threw on my white gladiator sandals. Who's ready for summer? :)

Sapphire Ripples

Definitely fell in love as soon as I laid my eyes on this top which I scored at my local thrift store. It is somewhat cropped which makes it easy to pair with any colored skirt or even high-waist shorts. It reminds me of those traditional table cloths every Mexican family owns. I decided to bring out the colors of the top with this royal blue skirt. The pleating on the skirts added more dimension and I threw on my Jeffrey Campbell lace up booties add a bit of grunginess to my ever-so girly ensemble.
