Something about last minute spontaneous trips make my heart happy. I took my sister to China Beach in San Francisco to kick off the first day of summer. This beach is a little smaller and more secluded than most, but you still get the amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Surprisingly, it was a rather warm day in SF but of course not warm enough to go in the water haha (the water is always freezing!). We stayed until the sunset. Nothing better than a bottle of wine and soaking in the sound of the ocean.
